Merit
Award System

Manly Village Public School has a
special award system in place that acknowledges effort,
achievement and appropriate behaviour.
Mini Merits
Students from Kindy to Year 2 are awarded Mini Merits throughout
the school year from their class teachers, and from
teachers of specialist areas. On reaching specific targets,
students receive the following awards.

Students from year 3 to year 6 receive gold merit certificates which accumulate over the 4 years of primary school. Upon gaining 3 gold certificates a school pennant is awarded. After 4 school pennants have been achieved a school medal is presented. Children are awarded for following the school code of behaviour:

These awards are presented at
the K-2 and 3 - 6 assemblies. Parents are notified of their child receiving an award through the school newsletter and are most welcome to attend these assemblies.
